- How do I pick a website (domain) name? We recommend a name that people might type into search when looking for permanent makeup in your area. It is our pleasure to assist you in selecting a website name that will be successful for your business.
- How do I buy a domain name? You can use many companies to purchase your domain name. They vary in price from $10.00 and up. We use Go Daddy when buying domain names. If you choose to use us to purchase a website, for an additional $10.00 we will purchase the name and make sure it is in your name.
- How does my site stay online? In order for your website to work it has to be hosted by a company. If you select us as your website creators we will host your website for the first year FREE. After the first year we charge a low rate of $50.00 per year.
- What are keywords I hear so much about? Certain information is needed for a website to operate successfully. Meta information, i.e. meta title, meta keywords, and a meta description are crucial to operate a website properly. This information is inserted into the HTML coding (behind the scenes) and can not be seen with the naked eye. But, we cannot stress the importance of having this in place! This is part of us creating your site and making sure it will come up effectively in search.
- What if I want to change information on my site? Once your website is up and running, we allow 1 FREE maintenance within the first 6 month. This would be for small text additions or changes and adding up to 6 pictures (ex. gallery photos), or minor text changes. Any maintenance done after the complimentary one is charged at $50.00 per hour. If you have changes we encourage you to get them to us all at one time to keep your costs down.
- How long does it take for my website to be created? This depends on the size and complexity of the website. We show you progress along the way for your input. We value your input, as it is your site. Normally a 4 page website takes approximately 2 weeks.
- How will people find me in search, i.e. Bing, Google, Yahoo etc.? This is where our expertise really comes into play. Because we have been promoting permanent makeup professional for years we are experts on ranking. It is not by accident that our own sites come up high in search. Keywords, meta title, meta descriptions are crucial as is text on the pages, text placement on your web pages, and photo placement. Although it's nice to have a flashy photo site, there needs to be a good balance of text and photos - this is crucial for the web spiders to know what your site is all about!
- What does my website fee include? If you choose to have a site created from the ground up all the packages include: complete design, FREE web hosting for first year, and one FREE maintenance within 6 months of inception. There are no monthly fees. The only other charge you might incur is if you choose to have your site edited after the first 6 months - again we charge $50.00 per hour for maintenance fees on an as needed basis.
